We had a great day today at the Queensland Garden Expo at Nambour. We left home early and arrived just in time for morning tea – then we set off on a tour around the Expo. We loved looking at all the beautiful plants and flowers, the herbs, the giant kitchen garden and a huge array of interesting stalls. We had a hamburger for lunch at the Lions food stand and we heard a great lecture about weather from our local TV Weather Guru. So much to see, do and learn so no wonder it was packed today and will be again over the weekend. Now we are home and re energised to work in our kitchen garden again :)
This was a stunning example of a landscape in a small area and below is a garden of colourful Bromeliads.

Sounds like a wonderful show Helen. I 'lurve' bromeliads and would like to cultivate more. Maybe this spring I'll head to the tropical nursery...
