A Busy Week

We have had a busy week as always, on Sunday we were off to a local park for a `Come and Try' Carriage Driving morning. We had 4 club members with their carriages - including us, giving people a go at driving and it was a very successful morning. The only drama was at home here, we had loaded the Sulky using a pulley system (very ingenious), the Sulky was on the tray of our truck and Alan decided to turn it around. I was no longer holding it so it took off, tipped off the truck and the shafts knocked Alan off the back of the truck ! Anyway luckily no damage to Alan or the Sulky and some friends turned up in the nick of time to help.

Now that some cooler weather is here we are back to getting some long overdue jobs done around the house and farm. Needless to say we are desperate for a holiday. Although we have a very relaxed lifestyle, we need a change of scenery just to re-charge batteries I think. We are planning a week at Bargara near Bundaberg on the coast in May and in anticipation we have bought an old renovated pop up camper which is really comfortable. We are going to try to go up for an overnight trip soon to do a recce.

I am still working on my Heritage Album and here is the latest page - a photo of Dad and his parents :)
